The Brief:
With the theme of Innovation in mind, redesign an existing product.
Thought Process:
My kid nephew’s fixation on milk at that time gave me an opportunity to observe how design affected function.
His handling of the milk carton (i.e. dropping and playing with it) gave me insight on the redesign.
Final Concept:
After experimenting with different forms, the pyramid shape worked best as no matter how much he fiddled around with the carton, it didnt topple over.
Its form also allowed for the straw to be integrated into the carton, creating a sustainable product.
